Most stories start at the beginning. Which is actually considered a bad move because
the reader's mostly interested in the middle and end. Some people even disagree with this and say without the beginning everyone
will start saying,"What the fuck is going on?" Anyway, the beginnings of these stories start out with "Once upon a time..."
or a description of what the main character is doing with shaky details. My story doesn't start like that. I start my stories
with facts completely irrelavent to the plot, and suddenly jump in on the character's life.
Belteshazzar VonScorpus. Belty. Haze. Scorpion. Now matter how he tried Belteshazzar
couldn't make his name sound "cool." He didn't like his name. Nobody liked his name. He was going to be Daniel, but his dad's
name was Daniel. His parents had never thought of naming him Daniel Junior. All these thoughts raced thruogh his head as he
walked down the street. Then, he saw it. Three feet in front of him was what looked like atear in space. He started to walk
just past it when a foot appeared out of thin air and tripped him. He fell staight forward through the tear. He felt like
he was floating and being pulled in every direction at the same time. He saw every color of the rainbow and his left ear.
He heard every Weird Al song ever made, Cottoneye Joe, and an obscure Romanian pop song all at once. He saw a huge flash of
light as he thought Belteshazzar what just happened and how are you going to fix this?
